Talking about “recovery” — do we have a common language?

Recovery is that word that has been around for many years in our sector and I keep hearing about personal recovery and clinical recovery in the mental health world and then we add the discussion about what recovery means in the AOD and HR world.

This workshop is designed to have a candid conversation about who determines what recovery means (I think that’s easy but I’m clear it’s not for all), how we can support people in “their” recovery journey, and even talk about that some people hate the word recovery and what does that mean when services we work with want us to use the word recovery.
